Suddenly is an American movie directed by Lewis Allen and released in 1954. In the late 40’s, Tod Shaw, the sheriff of Suddenly in California learns that a special train with the President of the United States on board is going to stop in the small town. Shortly afterwards, a Secret Service team arrives, led by Dan Carney. The group has for mission to secure the area in collaboration with the local police. During a planning meeting, Tod Shaw and Dan Carney use a map displayed on the wall of the sheriff’s office to analyze the route that the President will follow.

À la fin des années 1940, dans la petite ville américaine de Suddenly, le shérif Tod Shaw apprend qu’un train spécial doit s’y arrêter dans quelques heures, avec à son bord le président des États-Unis. Peu après, arrive une équipe des services secrets, menée par Dan Carney, afin de sécuriser le secteur, en collaboration avec la police locale. Lors d’une réunion d’organisation, Tod Shaw et le chef des services secrets analysent le parcours du président sur une carte affichée sur le mur du bureau du shérif.
