Those who have seen Une chambre en ville the movie by Jacques Demy (1982) probably remember the creepy televisions shop run by the scary Edmond Leroyer (Michel Piccoli), jealous and crazy husband of the beautiful Edith (Dominique Sanda). As part of Le voyage à Nantes, artistic event held in Nantes from 15 June to 18 August 2012, Agnes Varda, photographer, filmmaker and wife of Jacques Demy, has reconstituted this shop where it is supposed to be in the film, within the passage Pommeray. This passage is a famous building of Nantes and a magnetic place for Demy as filmmaker (see Lola). This ephemeral arty spatial materialization of fiction takes the form of an installation where televisions of  all ages are broadcasting archives, film footage of the filmmaker, current networks …

Ceux qui ont vu le film Une chambre en ville  de Jacques Demy (1982) se rappellent vraisemblablement  la glauque boutique de téléviseurs tenue par l’inquiétant Edmond Leroyer (Michel Piccoli), mari jaloux et dérangé de la belle Edith (Dominique Sanda). Dans le cadre du Voyage à Nantes, manifestation artistique organisée à Nantes du 15 juin au 18 août 2012, Agnès Varda, photographe, réalisatrice et femme de Jacques Demy, a reconstitué cette boutique à l’endroit où elle est censée être dans le film,  à l’intérieur du passage Pommeray,  célèbre galerie couverte de Nantes et lieu magnétique du cinéaste (voir Lola). Cette éphémère et artistique matérialisation spatiale de la fiction prend la forme d’une installation où des télévisions de toutes époques diffusent archives, extraits de films de la cinéaste, chaînes actuelles…
