Fish with the radio – Wolf Vostell
Wolf Vostell is an eminent German artist, died in 1998 and considered as a pioneer of the Fluxus movement who questioned categories of the art and rejected institutions and the idea of art work itself. One of his works, realized in 1980, integrates a map of Berlin area.
Wolf Vostell est un éminent artiste allemand, mort en 1998 et considéré comme un pionnier du mouvement Fluxus qui remettait en cause les catégories de l’art, rejetant les institutions et la notion même d’œuvre d’art. Un de ses montages, réalisé en 1980, intègre une carte de la région berlinoise.
Fish with the radio is a work realized with ink and paper, with plastic and metal (according to the description of the national Gallery in Prague (on July 22nd, 2012). The background of this work is constituted by a map of the Berlin region, on which are superimposed a plastic fish and a radio.

Fish with the radio est un montage réalisé (selon le descriptif le présentant à la Galerie nationale à Prague (le 22 juillet 2012) de l’encre et du papier, du plastique et du métal. Ces deux premiers correspondent essentiellement à l’arrière-plan de ce travail, constitué par un carte de la région berlinoise, sur laquelle sont superposés un poisson en plastique et une radio.
En bonus, un entretien avec Wolf Vostel, dans l’édition du 31 août 1995 de Libération.
PS : Désolé pour la piètre qualité de l’illustration… !
